The Pushkin Cafe

Pushkin Cafe is another restaurant in the Maison Dellos chain. The kitchen serves Russian and European cuisine. Prices are above average.

The restaurant's interior was styled on the 19th century. The elegant tableware and well-trained waiters match the interior. The menu has touches of old newspapers and magazines. The atmosphere of the restaurant fits surprisingly well with an intellectual feast. The cuisine is unique and includes both purely Russian dishes cooked according to old recipes and French culinary masterpieces.

Ermak

Pavilion

A tranquil setting in the beautiful Russian nature, a lively little stream flowing from the lush forest, traditional Russian huts and wells reminding us of the olden days and a serene river providing a nice fresh breeze…sounds like a place far far away, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not! Welcome to Ermak restaurant, located just a short distance away from Moscow’s Krylatskoe metro station. The interior has an authentic medieval Russian feel to it while the summer veranda – under the soft shade of the trees - overlooks the river and the gently rolling hills. The menu is full of hearty Russian delicacies such as soups, pies, pickled vegetables, pelmeni and meats/fish prepared over hot burning coal.

The white tuxedoed waiters, palm trees, period pavilion building, crisp tablecloths and various old family photos that decorate this large dining room overlooking the beautiful Patriarch’s ponds all combine to give off an elegant period feel worthy of an Agatha Christie novel and which the restaurant describes as 'Soviet 1950s'. The menu certainly looks Soviet retro in design, but thankfully the food is all in the best traditions of rich pre-Soviet kitchens. The salads here are particularly good and should win over Russian salad sсeptics. Make sure you don’t fill up too much on the huge moreish main dishes and save some appetite for one of their popular desserts.
