Memorial of Victory in Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Hill was arranged in interstate area of Setun and Filka rivers, between the current Minskaya Street on the west and the Victory square on Kutuzov Avenue on the east.  The fate of Moscow was decided here repeatedly. In 1612 here stopped hetman Zolkiewski. He was waiting for a delegation from Moscow, which wanted to put on the royal throne Polish Prince Vladislav. On September 2, 1812, Napoleon was waiting there for deputation of boyars with the keys to the Kremlin, but never got it. In 1983-1995 here was constructed Memorial of Victory in Great Patriotic War and established Victory Park.

St. Basil's Cathedral, or Pokrovsky Cathedral, is one of the most famous churches in Moscow, and in many people's opinion is a symbol of the capital and of Russia as a whole. St. Basil's was built in 1555-1561, and attracts attention to this day with its unusual architecture. Currently Pokrovsky Cathedral is a part of the State History Museum.

The complex “Kremlin and Vernissage in Izmailovo” is located in one of the most beautiful historical places of Moscow, on the bank of Serebryano-Vinogradny pond. City holidays, fairs and festivals are carried out in Izmaylovsky Kremlin. Sanctifier Nikolay`s Temple – the highest acting wooden temple of Moscow is located in the territory of the complex.

Being in Moscow without seeing the Kremlin is impossible to imagine. It is the most visited tourist attraction in the city. A walk around the walls of this ancient fortification is probably one of the most popular tours offering a chance to hear interesting stories and to enjoy stunning views.

Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) is one of the oldest, largest and leading classical universities of Russia, an important centre of Russian science and culture. The university was named in honor of its founder, Mikhail Lomonosov, in 1940.

By right, the Arbat is considered the oldest of all official pedestrian zones in Moscow. The name of this street, at that time, referred to the vast countryside, first mentioned in 1475. Over the centuries, with the formation of urban development, Arbat has become a big, full-blooded Moscow street.

One of the main streets in Kitai Gorod goes from Red Square to Lubyanskaya Square and is distinguished in its rich history and interesting buildings.

The gala concert has begun a new stage in life of ancient and eternally young Bolshoi theatre on 28th of October, 2011. The most well-known scene of Russia has been opened after the long reconstruction lasting of 6 years.
Works on reconstruction have passed the grandiose. The old building of theatre not only has returned lost lines much for a long time, but also has got the modern technical equipment, and also the area of internal premises has twice extended. The huge underground space under the Theatre square where the unique hi-tech scenic equipment is placed is mastered and the magnificent chamber hall on 350 places in which it is possible to rehearse, give concerts has settled down and to carry out solemn actions.

This hilly street, which runs from behind the Bolshoi Theater along to the headquarters of the former KGB at Lubyanka, has for much of its history been the site of Moscow's most fashionable shops and the stamping ground of the city's beau monde. Drawing on this reputation, many luxury shops have set up here in the last decade or so, and it is also home to the best foreign-language bookshop in Moscow.

Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is one of the most popular monuments in Moscow.  Most tourists do not mind that this building is a reconstruction.  On the contrary, the history of its destruction and reconstruction attracts the sympathetic attention of tourists.

This cathedral was built as a monument to the Russian soldiers who drove Napoleon's army out of Russia.
